Special Education Teacher (Beloit, WI) Provide instruction to educationally and physically handicapped students in grades K-12. Assess individual student needs, ensure curricular and instructional continuity between grades, train general education faculty members and volunteers and organize and update testing, individualized education programs (“IEP”) and 504 plans. Responsible for: special education program development, developing and meeting of annual benchmarks, testing and compliance goals, reviewing federal and state legislation related to special services, facilitating research and technology to support recommendations for student success, monitoring compliance with school board policies, preparing reports and documenting student progress and conducting ongoing needs assessments. Minimum of a Master’s degree in Special Education or related field, plus two academic years of experience teaching and/or coordinating special education for elementary, middle and/or high school students required.
