This position is located in Juneau County at the Department of Health Services (DHS); Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS); Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center (SRSTC) in Mauston, WI. SRSTC is a nationally recognized facility for the treatment of sexual offenders committed under Wisconsin’s Statute 980.

Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing, this position is responsible for ensuring the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, outcome/planning, implementation and evaluation are implemented and followed in the provision of nursing care for the Health Services Unit (HSU) at Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center (SRSTC).
Schedule is Monday-Friday (1st Shift)
Due to the nature of these positions, all applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow the Department of Health Services to conduct a Caregiver Background Check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
Minimally qualified candidates will have:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team related to the provision of patient care
- Experience working as a lead nurse, preceptor/trainer (nurse) or supervisor of nursing staff
Well-qualified candidates will also have:
- Experience as a nurse within a secured setting
- Experience working in a medical-surgical unit, long term care or ambulatory care clinic
- Experience in the development of internal protocols, procedures, and processes for use by nursing staff
