The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS); Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS); Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center (SRSTC) is recruiting to fill a Medical Program Assistant Associate position in Mauston, WI.
Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center opened in 2001 and houses Wisconsin's Sexually Violent Persons Program. The goal of the center is treating and teaching patients with a history of sexual aggression toward the goal of providing a safe return to the community.

Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
This position independently provides client support for scheduling outpatient clinic appointments; performs duties with a high degree of independence in implementing physician orders for consultations and follow-ups; develops and maintains records and filling systems and current directories and resources.
Due to the nature of these positions, all applicants will be required to allow the DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any convictions may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SRSTC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
Minimally qualified candidates will have:
- Experience scheduling medical appointments for patients/clients
- Training and/or experience with medical terminology
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite (i.e., excel, word, etc.) such as document creation, data entry and spreadsheet creation.
- Experience providing administrative support in a clinical setting (i.e., answering phones, maintaining forms, completing purchase requests for office supplies, etc.)
- Written and oral communication skills
Well qualified candidates will have:
- Experience working with an Electronic Health Records system
- Experience coordinating arrangements for scheduled appointments (i.e. transportation, documentation, etc.)
- Experience documenting patient/client transfers
- Experience scheduling in a dental clinic
