(NYSE: NC), is accepting applications for its Bismarck, North Dakota, Land Office location for: LEASE PAYMENT TECHNICIAN The successful candidate ensures the effective administration of property rights, transactions, and records in strict accordance with The North American Coal Corporation and Subsidiary Companies' Lease Maintenance and Payment Procedures, including payments, agreements compliance, data maintenance, and recordkeeping. This person also is responsible for the timely and accurate payment of production royalties, including calculation of royalties, verification of advance royalty deductions, and generation of payments, and communicates with payees, owners and their representatives, attorneys, county courthouses, banking institutions, etc., regarding lease-related issues, ensuring the confidential and discretionary use of information as appropriate. The successful candidate must possess strong attention to detail and mathematical skills, comprehension, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills. This position requires proficiency in the use of computerized applications, including data base, word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail. Knowledge of land descriptions and lease terminology is preferred but not required. A four-year college degree is preferred but not required. Candidates with the required combination of education and work experience will be considered.
