Director of Physical Plant
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of the Physical Plant is responsible for the supervision, direction, and maintenance of the college physical plant operations and activities which involve: custodial services, building repair and maintenance, HVAC and mechanical systems, remodeling, grounds maintenance, institutional keys, maintenance of all vehicles, energy conservation programs, all construction projects, and liaison relationships with other agencies and the community.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Associate's Degree in a related applicable area with knowledge of physical plant operations and maintenance, and capital construction (years of experience may be substituted for degree). Additional skills required are the ability to multi task, manage departmental budgets, supervise employees, and develop effective interpersonal relationships with departmental and college staff.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Previous physical plant management experience in an educational institution or comparable facility. Knowledge of the application of State of North Dakota regulations, policies and procedures.
COMPENSATION: 12 month, full-time, benefited position. Salary based on experience and education. Retirement plan and full coverage for family health insurance.
