The Columbus Telegram is seeking a full-time, multi-skilled journalist to cover a variety of news in a growing community of 22,000 residents.
We're looking for someone with a passion for journalism and community news who is ready to showcase the Columbus area through their writing and photography. Social media skills are also a plus for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for a journalist looking to make the move to a daily newspaper or a recent college graduate who needs to get their foot in the door.
The position is ideal for someone ready to meet new people and share their stories through feature pieces while covering events that are important to our readers.
A journalism degree is preferred, but not required. Spanish-language skills would be considered a major plus.
The Telegram is a morning newspaper printed Tuesdays through Saturdays with a focus on Columbus and Platte County, as well as six surrounding counties in eastern Nebraska. Our reporters also produce content for the weekly Schuyler Sun. Both newspapers are divisions of Lee Enterprises.
