The CWES (Child Welfare and Emergency Services) Program Manager is responsible for the hiring, management, and direct supervision of full-time and part-time Emergency Services Specialists, CWES Overnight Specialists, and interns in the YSS Mason City location.
The Program Manager ensures the critical care and supervision of all clients, creating a safe and stable milieu and monitoring and managing ongoing behavioral trends. This position coordinates with internal and external partners to ensure all educational, medical, mental health, and other relevant needs of all clients are met. The Manager assists in maintaining the budget and ensuring frugal fiscal management with oversight from the Francis Lauer CBC Director.
A basic knowledge and implementation of all licensure, contract, and accreditation standards is required. This position serves as a the lead on-call administrator to provide overall consultation and direction to the on-call staff during afterhours/weekends, is assigned as a participant in the on-call rotation schedule, and provides back-up on-call consultation for other assigned on-call staff as needed.
This position will coordinate the development, implementation, and ongoing oversight & training for the Safe Place services and programming. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining programmatic growth and serving as the face of the Mason City CWES program in Service Area 2.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
Two years of supervisory and leadership experience required. At a minimum a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, or relate Human Services degree is required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
A Master's degree in human services and licensure or temporary licensure (MSW, LMHC, LISW) is highly preferred.
A minimum of two years of clinical supervision of that Master's degree has to be met for the employee to be at the appropriate Masters level per the Iowa Department of Human Services CWES Contract requirements.
*If the Program Manager does not hold the appropriate Master's Degree per the Iowa Department of Human Services CWES Contract, the YSS CWES Program Director will provide the clinical oversight and supervision of the FLYS Case Worker/Education Specialist position(s) in collaboration with the FLYS CWES Program Manager.
A valid Iowa driver's license is required. Must be 21 years old to meet insurability requirements for driving YSS vehicles.
