Hydrogeologists and Field Technicians  

Hydrometrics, Inc. is seeking entry to senior-level hydrogeologists and field technicians to join our Environmental Sciences team to work on interesting and challenging projects in our Helena, MT Office. Activities include assisting in development/implementation of field investigations and data analysis for a wide range of projects including water resource development, mining hydrogeology, groundwater characterization and remediation, and environmental impact assessments Hydrogeology applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field (MS in Hydrogeology is preferred). 

The applicant will need strong field experience and technical skills in groundwater and surface water monitoring; development and implementation of project work plans and sampling and analysis plans; design, installation, and geologic logging of water supply and monitoring wells; aquifer testing; and data analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Candidates must have effective communication (oral and written) skills, have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, attention to detail, and have strong computer skills. Experience with resource development, geochemistry, statistical data analysis, groundwater modeling, and GIS skills are desirable. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour refresher training is preferred. 

Technician applicants must have a strong field aptitude and troubleshooting skills, experience with groundwater, surface water, soil, and sediment sampling, and technical skills in water well maintenance and pumping systems is preferred. Applicants must have the ability to conduct relatively strenuous work independently under highly variable conditions. Travel will be an integral part of the job. Candidates must be detail oriented with effective communication (oral and written), organizational, and computer skills. Valid driver's license and drug and alcohol testing is required. Additional mechanical and fabrication skills preferred. Forty-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is preferred.
