The Education Technology Consortium Finance Services area supports the users of K-12 district members in the implementation and daily use of BusinessPlus software. This position performs a broad scope of software application and process improvement activities to support users of the software. Candidates must be able to provide technical support in the areas of payroll, human resources, employee contracts, budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and stores inventory.
Job Description: Provide technical software support to school districts throughout Arizona. Support user functions with all area of BusinessPlus software. Provide technical advice consistent with the procedures established by the Financial Services area and accounting recommendations in accordance with the requirements of the Uniform System of Financial Records for Arizona School Districts. Provide specialized or general calculations and analysis support in various payroll, accounting and HR functions. Perform software testing and assist with software upgrades and implementations. Gather and organize information on problems or procedures; document existing processes and systems and analyze data for possible process and/or automation improvements; recommend new or revised procedures and/or systems. Perform research, including conferring with vendors to resolve technical questions and problems related to computer hardware and software.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of education administrative systems and related business principals such as Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivables, and generally accepted accounting principles, practices and procedures. Skill in performing detailed analysis and reporting. Demonstrated experience with financial software. Skill in developing training and procedure documents and conducting web-based and onsite training sessions. Demonstrated experience providing user support is one or more of the following areas: HR, Payroll, Accounts Payable, or General Ledger/Fund Accounting. Must have excellent skill with MS Office products, particularly Excel Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree AND two years of experience working with computer applications, fund accounting, HR or Payroll processes in an office environment. OR, Associates Degree and three years experience working with computer applications, fund accounting, HR or Payroll in an office environment.
