Part-Time Firefighter Wage: $13.90 to $17.23 per hour There will be an information session on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Central Fire Station, 451 East Third Street at 6:00 PM. This entry level firefighting positon works alongside full time firefighters on an on-call basis and attends scheduled training for nine hours each month. Selected candidates will learn skills in combating and extinguishing fires; rescue operations; hazardous materials response; providing medical care; operation and maintenance of fire department equipment and apparatus, and public education. High school diploma or GED required. Applicants must pass agility performance test, written exam, physical examination and reside within 20 minutes of the central fire station.
