Patrol Captain Monroe County, full-time
The Patrol Captain is responsible for the administration of the Patrol's programs including the interpretation, assessment, and recommendation of policies and the supervision of the Bailiffs, Patrol Sergeants, and Deputies. Performs complex professional work assuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations; supervises and coordinates programs; and is responsible for the oversight and management of the equipment and budget assigned to this division.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or related field. Minimum of five years law enforcement experience, with 2-3 of those years in a management level position with substantial administrative and supervisory duties (Law Enforcement-specific experience preferred). Associate's Degree or a minimum of 60-accredited semester credits may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree with a combination of equivalent leadership experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) Certification required (or ability to transfer or obtain equivalent certification credentials within reasonable timeframe). Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
Hiring Salary Range: $61,387 - $69,758 annually, with excellent benefits.
