The City of La Crosse is seeking a full-time CASHIER in the City's Treasurer's Office.
The position is responsible for collecting various payments to include licenses, permits, fines and taxes; entering payments into an accounting system and routine record keeping. Successful candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment. High School diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of two (2) years recent responsible cashier or cash handling experience as a primary function (at least 50% of the workday). Excellent customer service skills required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Candidates must successfully pass 10-Key (adding machine) testing.
Starting wage for this non-exempt position is $16.61 to $17.07 per hour (75 hours bi-weekly), plus benefits.
