The City of La Crosse is currently accepting applications for the position of BUDGET ANALYST in the Finance Department. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of journey-level professional, administrative and complex analytical work involving the preparation, study and application of City budgets; and to perform duties involved in the research, analysis and development of financial forecasting tools. The work is performed under the direction of the Director of Finance/Human Resources.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or other business related fields and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in finance, management analysis, budgeting, or accounting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. CPA preferred. Computer experience in MS Office.
Experience helpful in the following areas: Munis/Tyler Technologies systems and Highline ePersonality systems, SQL/SSR reports, special assessment programs, tax collection systems and County tax role systems.
Annual salary for this full-time, exempt position is $55,507.48 - $72,806.45 with a hiring range of $55,507.48 - $60,213.94, depending on qualifications.
