ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS CONTRACTS AND STUDENT SERVICES University of Nebraska-Lincoln Supervise Contracts and Student Services Department (8 staff members). Maintain and upgrade all aspects of StarRez housing management software along with IT staff to include developing and implementing policies and procedures for the entire office. In conjunction with IT, be responsible for all system upgrades to the software (major and minor upgrades), analyze and re-configure interfaces with the University community, and participate in campus-wide initiatives (as they relate to Housing). Oversee the reporting of the contract numbers. Responsible for the annual review and updating of the University Housing Residence Hall Contract and verifying all policies and procedures are put into practice accordingly. Develop new policies and procedures with various departments to ensure a smooth placement for our students. Inform/negotiate with parents and students as issues arise concerning our policies and procedures. Housing related presentations to parents and students. Determination of residency for various types of students and groups. Overlook procedures for the centralized billing system and procedures for our use of the SIS and PeopleSoft systems. Responsible for cash deposit processes within the contracts department and applying the State Treasurer's rules for receipting. Liaison for other University departments.
