ZONE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE-PLUMBER
University of Nebraska-Lincoln FMP/BSM is seeking an individual with skill and experience in plumbing/steam-fitting systems installation and maintenance. Requires knowledge of building systems and maintenance relating to commercial plumbing/steam-fitting systems and all associated codes and supporting systems. Employee will use schematics, blueprint drawings, and trade tools and systems to conduct inspection, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building plumbing/steam-fitting systems. Perform all phases of general, aesthetic, and preventive maintenance within supervisor's specific guidelines. Responsible for assisting Zone Preventive Maintenance Senior and Zone Preventive Maintenance Lead on tasks and projects related to the systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures of equipment or facilities either before they occur or before they develop into major defects. This position works independently on tasks and performs moderately complex to complex tasks with varying levels of supervision. This position will be expected to interact with customers and other employees in a professional manner that enhances work effectiveness for the zone Preventive Maintenance crew. Must be available 24/7 by personal cell phone to support daily operations and respond to campus emergencies, as well as periodic on-call rotations on weekends and after hours.
