Director, Ambulatory Operations Rapid City Regional Hospital, Inc. d/b/a Regional Health Rapid City Hospital, is a subsidiary of Regional Health, Inc., a not-for-profit, integrated health care system with a purpose of helping patients and communities live well. We currently have a full-time opening available in Rapid City, South Dakota for a Director, Ambulatory Operations to manage all facets of multi-specialty medical/surgical practice operations including planning, directing, coordinating and providing leadership and accountability for ambulatory care operations including excellence in patient care and safety, patient experience, physician and caregiver engagement and retention, and financial and community stewardship. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or a related field plus 36 months of related experience in health services administration or related field. In the alternative, the Company will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or a related field plus five years of related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in health services administration or a related field. Must have at least three years of demonstrated experience with each of the following: (1) management of multi-specialty medical/surgical practice operations; (2) demonstrating clinical operational efficiency and gains in either improved revenue or reduction of expenses, or a combination of both, using process improvement methodologies such as lean or six sigma; and (3) physician engagement and system proficiency to act as a liaison between physicians and upper management. Must also have at least two years of experience in conducting and administering fiscal operations, including developing, managing, and being accountable for annual operating and capital budgets of at least $10 million; and in performing human resource responsibilities including interviewing and selection of new caregivers, coaching and development, performance appraisals, conflict resolution, corrective actions and terminations, for a minimum of 30 FTEs.
