Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation is currently expanding its efforts in the area of Development and is pleased to announce the following new employment opportunities: DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT The Director of Development will solicit annual, major, and legacy gifts and will be involved in seeking private gifts and grants, charitable giving at special philanthropic events, and seeking corporate and foundation support. A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's preferred, with a minimum of ten years of experience in business, sales or nonprofit management and preferably experience in nonprofit fundraising. The candidate must have a minimum of three to five years of experience effectively supervising staff. The position is full-time/salaried, and will be based at Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota and will require travel. STEWARDSHIP OFFICER The Stewardship Officer is responsible for prospect and donor relations, including personal visits, phone calls, letters, and e-mails to assigned contacts to solicit charitable gifts. The Officer will lead the cultivation of new and existing prospects and donors in the Pacific West, Southwest, Alaska, and Hawaii territory. A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is preferred, a minimum of five to seven years of experience in business, sales, higher education, or nonprofit organization environment is required. Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and communication skills. This position is Full-Time/salaried, requires travel and can be based in the Pacific West or Southwest region or at Crazy Horse Memorial. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I The Administrative Assistant I is responsible for providing administrative support for state registration, processing charitable gifts, conducting research, and providing overall administrative support to the development function of the organization. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred and he/she must have a minimum of three years of administrative support or office experience. Highly accurate data entry skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational and project management skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite and have experience with working with databases. Philanthropy experience a plus. This position is Full-Time/hourly and will be based at Crazy Horse Memorial.
