Temporary Project Coordinator
Are you interested in joining the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council central operations team, headquartered at the University of Northern Iowa, to help advance the statewide science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) cause in our state?
The STEM Council is seeking a temporary project coordinator to assist with the coordination of an array of aspects as it relates to STEM Council programming, such as communication, relationship building, meeting arrangements, surveys, data collection, data analysis, data interpretation, assessment, tracking, dissemination, information management, recommendations and report writing.
If you have a passion for STEM education, STEM careers, business/education partnerships, economic development, as well as an aptitude for communication, collaboration, meeting management and organization, this temporary position currently through the end of the fiscal year (June 30, 2019) may be a good fit. The person in this position will work directly with the STEM Council operations center team in Cedar Falls.
Bachelor’s degree in education (mathematics or science), communications, public relations, marketing, business or related field required. At least two years of experience of comprehensive project management is required. Demonstrated interpersonal communication, consensus building, problem solving, team building, networking skills, organization, resource development and computer skills, specifically the Microsoft suite, are also required.
