Upper Iowa University is seeking a Director of Human Resources at the Fayette, IA campus. This full-time position reports to the University President and will plan, direct, and supervise the Human Resource (HR) Department of the University. The Director of Human Resources will oversee all or parts of recruitment, selection, onboarding, classification, compensation, benefits, EEO/AA/Title IX/ADA-ADEA & Risk Management responsibilities, employee relations, contract administration, human resource information systems, and policy development to assure compliance with institutional policies, state, and federal regulations. This position will develop, manage, and delegate work across the HR department to most effectively and efficiently serve the institution’s needs.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred. PHR/SPHR certification preferred. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in the area of human resources and benefits administration, preferably in a higher education setting.
