Description of Position: Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Department of Curriculum and Instruction is seeking a part-time Lecturer/Instructor the Department of Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in the area of Physical Education Teacher Education. Positions are term appointments with reappointment needs in future semesters. This position is for an off-campus program at the Rend Lake College Marketplace in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Responsibilities of Position: Teach undergraduate courses primarily in Physical Education for Elementary Schools.

Qualifications/Requirements: The rank of Lecturer requires a doctoral degree in Kinesiology. The rank of an Instructor requires a master’s degree in Kinesiology. Doctoral degree is preferred. It is also required for the applicant to have experience teaching Physical Education in the elementary or middle school environment.
