Position Summary: Southern Illinois University Carbondale, an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley, Missouri Valley Football, and Mid-American Conferences, is seeking to hire an Associate Athletic Director.

Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Athletic Director, this position will supervise at least 3 sports, serve as the departmental coordinator for Title IX and Prevention of Sexual Violence, serve on departmental and University wide standing committees, assist with the long range planning to achieve departmental goals and supervise other support units as designated by the director.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree and professional experience in Athletic Administration or comparable field. Strong understanding of Title IX and its requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics (as coach, administrator or athlete), demonstrated leadership skills, strong written and oral communication skills, proven ability to relate well to administrators, coaches and students. Direct experience with supervision of coaching and support staff. Strong knowledge of NCAA and conference rules, regulations and guidelines.
