Full-Time; Non-Teaching Professional; Grade 6

Plan, direct, and administer the institution-wide grants program to support the mission and goals of John A. Logan College; research and disseminate viable funding opportunities that support the College’s objectives and strategic priorities, as well as analyzing competitive positioning and risk; develop and facilitate an efficient proposal production process to include conducting effective project planning; coordinate proposal teams; pre-award grant writing/proposal editing; research institutional and sponsor policies and regulations to ensure successful implementation in accordance with grant contract terms and agency requirements, as well as general procedural compliance; participate in institutional cross-functioning on campus with project directors and the Business Services staff to ensure positive performance in the technical, fiscal, and operations management of all active grant projects; ensure that proper protocol is followed in conducting all formal change orders/modifications and timely submission of required agency reports; facilitate and support strategic partnership activities with business/industry, community organizations, and other entities by participating in partnership meetings, assisting in negotiations of roles and duties, and the drafting of supportive documents; coordinate, as needed, with program and contracting officers at the various local, state, and federal funding agencies on grant administration issues; other duties as assigned.


Require's a bachelor’s degree in education, economic and workforce development, or related field; three years of professional work experience in the field of grant writing and administration.  Master’s degree in a field of study directly related to the essential job functions; work experience in the areas of proposal development and grant management, project management, and/or supervision of project teams; demonstrated sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of community college students and employees is preferred.


$46,653 - $58,316 (salary commensurate with education and experience per salary schedule)
