Position Summary: Southern Illinois University a Division I member of the Missouri Valley Conference, is seeking an assistant coach for Indoor and Outdoor Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country program. This position will assist in all facets of the program, coaching for specific events, recruiting student athletes, assisting in administrating the program, ensuring rules compliance and public relations on behalf of the program.

Qualifications: Required Bachelor’s degree, thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, coaching or competitive experience in track and field at the NCAA Division I level, technical knowledge of Jumps/Multis, combined with the demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge, and demonstrated recruiting ability.

This is a security-sensitive position. Before an offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation which includes a criminal background check.

Responsibilities: Design and implement training programs/practice regimens for student athletes in the Jumps/Multis, ensuring compliance of the program with University, NCAA, and MVC rules, recruiting student athletes, and other duties administering and supporting the program as assigned.
