Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution by the date of appointment. If all requirements for the doctorate have not been completed by August 15, 2019, a one-year term appointment at the rank of Instructor, at a lower salary, will be offered. Applicants must have a specialization or strong interest in Analytics/Big Data. Additional specialization or interest in Auditing and/or Accounting Information Systems is desirable. Candidates must exhibit: 1) potential to produce quality scholarly research publications (established record of publication preferred) in top journals in the data analytics areas, such as business intelligence, decision analysis, big data, and cybersecurity; 2) demonstrated teaching experience, or teaching interest, in data analytics. Special consideration will be given to applicants with relevant coursework, and/or real-world experiences in data analytics. Professional certification and experience is preferred.
Duties: Maintain an active program of research publishable in leading academic journals. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in individual's specialization and in data analytics (typical teaching load for research-active faculty is six hours (2 courses) per semester). Advise and mentor graduate students; participate in School, College, University, and professional or community service as a representative of the School of Accountancy.
