SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTRUCTIONAL AIDES AND EOC AIDES
JOB DESCRIPTION: The instructional aide assists in supervising and providing supportive instruction in classrooms. The individual employed will work under the direction of the assigned school principal and classroom teacher. The EOC aide will provide physical and instructional support for individual students with special needs. The individuals employed will work under the direction of the assigned school principal and teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS: Holds a Valid State of Illinois Instructional Aide License or Teaching License. Preferred LBS special education certification. Must be a dependable and responsible person with physical strength to assist students with physical and/or behavioral special needs. Must be able to carry out school approved special education plans with teacher direction. Duties may include lifting/carrying students, controlled physical restraint and performing other duties as assigned and appropriate to the position.
SALARY: Salary will be based on placement on the District Classified Salary Schedule. Employment will be for 7.0 hours/day Monday-Friday. Fringe benefits include Board contribution to single coverage health insurance, fifteen (15) days annual sick leave, two (2) days of personal business leave, and school holidays at full pay. Salary and other working condition modifications may occur after July 1 annually.
CONDITIONS: Contract to begin upon employment and end on the last day of student attendance.
