Southeast Missouri State University Logo SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for the position of: Term Marketing Strategist - University Marketing SALARY: Depends on Qualifications OPENING DATE: 07/09/21 POSITION SUMMARY: Marketing Strategist University Marketing Full-Time/ One-Year Term The Marketing Strategist will plan, design, create, and execute communications, digital strategy, and campaigns related to student support, including support services and financial aid. The Marketing Strategist will collaborate with a dynamic University Marketing team and University support personnel on both creative and analytics to build integrated marketing campaigns that generate results. We seek a strategic thinker and talented collaborator with a strong track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics. Primary Responsibilities Work with University Marketing team to develop, build, and execute engaging and effective multi-channel marketing and communications plans to meet University objectives Create eye catching, well-written coordinating assets and articles for use in lead nurturing programs, email communications workflows, and websites Coordinate and implement social media strategies and content development that shape the brand positioning and narrative to current students Perform market research, including but not limited to surveys, focus groups, and competitive benchmarking, to inform marketing strategies and decisions Measure, analyze, and report the performance of campaigns across channels to improve key performance metrics across the marketing funnel and ensure return on investments Plan and execute marketing events and programs to support student success objectives Collaborate with campus partners and external vendors to develop strategies, messaging, and campaign assets such as emails, text messages, telephone scripts and related communications Serve as part of an integrated marketing team that promotes student success REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, English, or related field Experience developing and managing successful creative strategies, messaging, content, and campaigns across multiple channels Superior written and interpersonal communications skills with great attention to detail Digital fluency including but not limited to email marketing, social media, web content, advertising, analytics, and knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices Creative and analytical thinker who can interpret data to inform strategies Experience with content management systems, customer relationship management systems, and/or marketing automation platforms Experience developing effective design strategies within brand guidelines and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities REQUIRED INFORMATION & DEADLINE: Application Deadline: To ensure full consideration, application materials must be received by July 23, 2021.
