1. Bachelor’s degree from an approved college of engineering in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering as required by the position to be filled in the area of specialization inherent in the position may be required
2. Certificate of registration as a Registered Professional Engineer from the Illinois Department of Registration and Education

Physical Plant Engineering Services’ staff includes architects, mechanical, electrical, civil engineers and support staff. Services include design services for renovation and new construction for University campus facilities, facility archives, construction documents, interior design services, facility planning and programming. These positions will perform administrative and technical work of a professional electrical engineering nature in the planning, development and supervision of electrical installations (new or renovations), maintenance and repair. Work will involve both low and medium voltage distribution systems.
