A Multi-Site Area Agency on Aging and Community Action Agency serving Northwest Indiana since 1965 is currently seeking experienced employees for the following Management, position.
General Statement of Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager is a supervisory position responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Accounts Payable Accountant, Payrollenefits Accountant, and the Grants Management Accountant. The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing general accounting functions including preparing funding source claims, preparing journal entries, and maintaining account and bank reconciliations. This includes assisting with monthly closings, account, and grant analysis.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required 3 years Accounting experience. Two or more years' experience supervising staff. Knowledge of applicable Federal and State regulations. Understanding of low-income and elderly populations. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
